Switching Firms After 2L Summer?
Switching Firms After 2L Summer?
I'm a 2L at a T6. I have an offer from a V30 firm in NYC that I'm happy with. However, I did not put my best foot forward during recruiting, and there are firms that I'm disappointed I missed out on. Is there anything I can do to try to get an offer from one of these firms? Is it simply too late to reach out to attorneys, etc?

yea you email them a resume and cover letter. if you get an interview, have a good answer to why you aren't returning to your 2L summer firm. alternatively try to clerk.

I got 2 V10 offers while during my 2L SA at a V50. The more niche the work you're into the better luck you're going to have. Regardless, you need to hustle during your SA (when positions start to get posted on whatever job board your school has), update your resume with any sort of assignment that you get that you can sell as a point of interest in the area you're shooting for, and send out apps with cover letters. I'm sure 3L OCI is also an option, but that sounds horrible.
