Hey guys i’m an econ student in brazil and I’m considering applying for law school in the US. I’d like to know more about the process and and mostly about law school life and post grad perspectives.

May I ask, is there any particular motivation for law school in general, and more specifically why in the US?

May I inquire as to if there is any special incentive for attending law school in general, and why specifically in the United States?

I think what people are trying to ask is: what are your career goals?

admission in the US is based almost entirely on grades and LSAT score. the bulk of the employment is only attainable through graduates of the 13-15 top programs in the Country, and the remaining 200+ law schools are not worth the investment.

and depending on your specific goals, the number of available jobs are so few in number, law school may not be worth it entirely, especially if you're not willing to take what jobs are available.

More specifically, it's not that the bulk of employment is only available at the top schools--there are many, decent jobs available from mid-range schools that can make sense without significant debt. However, only a handful of those jobs will be worth a damn for someone who needs a visa. Those are the jobs that concentrate at the top. There are 13-15 solid bet kinds of schools for those, and maybe 6-12 more that can get you to 50/50 odds, depending on the year.

Might I query whether there is any specific reason for school of law in general, especially why in the America?
