Addenda?
Should I address a downward trend in my gpa?
I finished my AA with a 4.0 and transferred to a university and finished there with a 3.65. I was caregiving for a family throughout college and it became a little more challenging when I transferred. My LSAC gpa is at a 3.87 (I had taken more units at my community college).
Also, do you think this will hurt me?
I’d appreciate your advice and thoughts!

I wouldn't bother. I don't think it would really help or hurt either way, but your GPA is more than fine as is. If anything an addendum might just draw attention to the downward trend. FWIW I didn't write one for a bigger trend and it worked out

Thank you, I really appreciate it!
Re: Addenda?
Yeah, an addendum is really more for explaining why one semester is an outlier (mom died, terrible grades that semester reflect that emotionally difficult time), or why your terrible undergrad performance (like my sub-3.0 GPA) won't happen in law school. An overall good GPA doesn't need any explanation for why one part was weaker than the others.

No, not necessary. You got a good GPA. Good luck!

Agreed, not needed at all. This won't hurt you. And with a great overall GPA like yours, please do yourself a favor and take your time studying for the LSAT. Your GPA combined with a 170+ will open a lot of doors for you in terms of acceptances and scholarship money.
