Early Binding Decision

Does applying for (and being accepted through) an early binding decision reduce the amount of scholarship money you may receive?

Consensus answer always used to be yeah, it probably does. It’s been a long time since I applied to law school though. At the very least you’re eliminating your ability to bargain using better offers.

Yes, you'll definitely see less scholarship money on average if you apply ED. Binding decisions and merit aid do the same thing: get people to matriculate. If any law school kept their financial-aid process walled from their admissions process, which is the only way to ensure that ED admits get the same consideration as everyone else, they would say so.
