Checking in! And quick question. "Why Georgetown" is not an option for the optional essays. But I emailed the admissions office, and they said I can submit a Why Georgetown under the optional essays. I'm just nervous that it'll look like I could not follow the directions and pick a prompt?

you can submit the why GULC essay in the addendum spot and also submit one of the optional essays in the optional essays spot.

everyone I know who wrote a why GULC did it like this and there didn't seem to be an issue

also, if GULC is a top choice for you, I recommend doing one of the optional essays

Thank you! Can I submit two documents in the addendum spot? I also have a GPA addendum. Thank you!

Well shit, didn't submit one (even though I already had it written) cuz it wasn't an option. Should I email or too late?

I'm in that same boat. I think we will be fine without submitting a Why GULC, though. But, perhaps someone with more experience can answer.

I remember some people emailed their why GULC's last year and it didn't seem to be a problem :)

I don't remember, as the Why GULC was the only thing I put in that spot. You should try it out, though. Try putting like 2 random documents in the addendum spot and see if it works (you can delete them after! that I do remember haha). If anything, you could just email them one of the documents and they'll just add it to your file!

Looks like someone on reddit got an interview invite! Hopefully that means other interview invites will start to disseminate across all applicants soon.

I got an group interview invite on Friday for next Friday (the 12th) in Chicago. I'm going. Anyone have any insight into how they choose who to bring in for these? There were only 8 total spots. I'm >75th% for the LSAT and just under median GPA.

I rsvp’ed for the group interview in Chicago as well. Did you get an email confirmation? I know it said two days before you would be notified, but just curious.

No confirmation yet, but just got an email asking if I could still go because the time they provided in the previous email was EST rather than CST, which is kind of funny. Fortunately I can. The email indicated they would send a confirmation by the end of the day. Not sure whether or not that means I am for sure going to be able to interview, but we will see!

Hey guys, I'm a current 1L at GULC, just posted in the asking questions thread, but figured I'd check in here as well. Feel free to ask questions or DM!

Group interview was pretty fun. Few things that were interesting:

-Dean Cornblatt is trying to interview ~2,000 applicants this cycle in the same way, last year was 1,500
-275 of the current 1L class went through a group interview
-Said we could expect to hear back in 3-4 weeks, but not to hold him to it

Fun for sure but hard to know how we did

I was invited to an alumni interview. Any idea if these are different than group and/or why? I assumed it was just b/c I'm not close to any major metro area (~6 hours in all directions)

Someone posted today on Reddit that they were accepted via mail (letter dated 10/15), although interestingly the admitted students' website doesn't seem to be operational yet.
