Does anyone know if HLS is organizing accomodations for ASW this year? I know they did in the past, but I didn't notice anything on the website.

Congrats! Were you part of a wave and other people just aren't reporting here?

Yes, February 12 was an acceptance day. The admissions office also tweeted at the beginning and end of their phone call session, which I think is a new thing this year.

So two JS2 waves when there were three last year.
But there was only one reject wave last year and it came after the first two waves. This year it came between them.
I wonder if there's going to be a final JS2 wave and a second reject wave.
ugh

I'm going to write a very strongly worded letter of displeasure and non-approval if they try ghosting me. This ain't Tinder.

No disrespect, but the Harvard GCS scholarships are hilarious. Time to dig out those genealogical records.

My god, they were cringeworthy to say the least.

I'm kind of surprised a social-justice oriented school would publicly announce scholarships in which 5 out of 8 will exclusively (or disproportionately)be awarded to white males. Nothing necessarily wrong with those benefactors puting stipulations on their grants, but you'd think they would privately email "you may be qualified for this scholarship" to show tact.

Totally agree. I cringe at the thought of a white male receiving a scholarship.

Yeah... And WASPs, presumably. Definitely fulfilling some, er, old timey Ivy League stereotypes there. (I didn't actually see the male stipulation on any of them, but I might just have missed it.)

That might have been a joke, but that's pretty clearly not what Ilike2read was saying.

Sorry if it wasn't clear, not what I was saying at all (I specifically said there isn't anything wrong with this because benefactors are allowed to have stipulations). Was saying more so the scholarships are clearly exclusive to a specific group, so might as well privately email that group.

Hey I'm an admitted student on deferral and wondering if there is any reason for me to go to the ASW, even though I don't have a decision to make. Is it valuable (or even enjoyable) in some way? Also, do most people go to the first or second one?

Tbh I’d actually recommend you wait until the one that occurs the March or April before you attend (e.g., if it’s next year, go that March or April) so that you can meet people from your class year. I deferred and went last year; it was nice—a little tiring—but a good enough, informative time. But now I’d like to go just to meet folks from my own class year at this year’s, and they don’t allow you to go twice apparently, so I screwed that up lol.

For my fellow admitted students, I found a page on Harvard's website with EIP statistics. In order to view them, sign in using your HarvardKey. The most recent statistics available are from 2017, and they have data going back to 2010.

Here's the link: https://hls.harvard.edu/dept/ocs/jd-stu ... aluations/

Is there anyone else who still has not heard back at all? I’m not entirely sure whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but it seems quite late in the process. I applied in October, so I am definitely feeling anxious....

(For those admitted) Anyone know how long it's gonna take for FAFSA to be processed in SFS? Concerned that it's still not listed as received.
