So past the first wave to the second wave, everything seems to be pretty much 1 week apart, right? I haven't been keeping up too much, so I'm unsure if that's true.

If so, and following their announcement that they're doing something different with the way they're doing admissions yet being similar to past years in weekly JS1's, what was different about that week following the first wave? Was it such a terrible interview wave they gave everyone a week off to feel better?

I think so. I think there was no wave the week of Thanksgiving, and not sure if there was the week before that. Anyone been keeping track? One wave was so small only like one person reported, idk if that's been included in our counts.

They sort of implied that they took the week off to read apps after finishing a busy travel schedule. That said, I think my interview alone probably counted for at least four days of rest.

If it helps anyone's analysis, there were only two days to choose from when I signed up. The date I looked at had 10 or more slots.

Ok, I think we're at five, with the following dates:
10/19/2018
11/02/2018
11/09/2018
11/26/2018
11/28/2018

If I missed one, let me know.

Yup, adding now! I'm also happy to yield OP to someone else because I can't promise I'll stay on top of the waves

FYI, the December JS2 wave usually admits only a tiny number of people - like, 30 - so don't despair if you interviewed in Oct/Nov and don't receive an offer.

Yeah are you new? Kidding kidding :D

On a serious note, I will definitely have to remind myself in the days leading up to a wave.

Whoa, is the first JS2 wave normally that small?
I've heard that not many people get in in December, but LSN's numbers of admitted individuals was 8/10/12 for Dec. Jan, and Feb respectively (for people who submitted in September).

Then again, this year has deviated from past ones so maybe the waves will also be more frontloaded

Given the earlier LSAT test dates, and how this cycle is far more front-loaded with respects to quality applicants, they may make a more front-loaded admission cycle as well. Hopefully they make the December wave larger.

Just finished my interview. All of the questions were from the list that someone posted earlier. They were looking for the same answers, but the questions were often framed as hypotheticals like "If you got into every school you applied to, how would you decide where to go?" so be cognizant of that. I was super nervous, but the interviewer was really friendly, so I relaxed rather quickly. Definitely maintain a professional tone, but my interviewer wasn't rigid or cold. Good luck everyone!

I'm waiting to go complete a month after submitting my materials. I emailed the Admissions office to check if I needed to do anything and they kindly replied that I just need to sit tight while they assemble everything from LSAC, ETS, etc. Has anyone else been on hold this long?

I wouldn't contact them again regarding that anytime soon --- just be patient.

From the looks of how other schools are moving, it seems likes this is going to be relatively slow cycle.
Let's keep our heads up even if we don't get a JS2 in Dec.
(Maybe it'll be next week??)

Empty speculation - If this week ends without a JS1 wave, would that increase the odds for a JS2 wave next week? And vice versa, if we do get a JS1 wave. It looks like last cycle had just over a week between the JS1 wave (Thurs, Dec 7) and the first JS2 wave (Mon, Dec 18).

I was thinking the same thing.
To add a line of speculation, if JS1s do come out but are scheduled for the week of the 17th, then I think its for sure next week.
