did you guys speak in a professional manner in your interviews or was it more on a personal friendly level?
This is based on last year, but the only interviews I had that I found to be less professional and more casual were UVA and Northwestern (which I did in person with an alum, so I assume varies). HLS was definitely friendly but formal (as were UChi, Columbia, and Duke's scholarship interview).
Does Duke specifically distinguish scholarship interviews from regular admissions interviews?

Duke doesn't do regular admissions interviews!

Hi all, quick question. Submitted my app on 11/6, they received my GRE score and app fee shortly thereafter but my CAS report has been pending ever since - 16 days and counting. Any thoughts? Is it normal for GRE-only applicants?

It's normal. Same thing happened to me. Just be patient. When Harvard receives your GRE score, it then requests your CAS from LSAC, but there are time lags associated with the process.

I can tell you they just started confirming deferrals yesterday so that makes me think they're coming soon! Maybe next week ☺️

Wow! There's only been like 4 JS1 waves so far, though. Do you think they are doing things a bit differently this year?

Hey! When you say deferrals, do you mean those on the waitlist?

^ I think she means those who had JS1's who are not going to be selected in the December wave.

I'm pretty sure that deferral refers to admitted students who have chosen to push back starting 1L.
Since that means they would start with future classes, I'd imagine that HLS would have to finalize the number of individuals who defer before starting to decide how many people to admit.

Yes, this is what I meant! I will say that means they probably ARE NOT coming this week, but I think they're coming soon! (That's not groundbreaking, though - they usually do a small wave in December.)

Thanks for giving us hope haha.
Have JS2's followed deferral confirmations in the past?

I have no idea. I would assume so, since they need to verify how many spots they have available!

On a different note, the West Wing is my favorite show. I've watched the whole show an unhealthy amount of times.

Yep.
Since the Adcoms will be busy with interviews next week,
Im thinking that the 17th is a fairly safe guess for JS2s
(and consistent with past cycles).

Agree. I think the week of 10th is also a safe bet. Not ruling out next week yet, especially since today seems to have been a small wave.
