Y'ALL just to expand on my shock:

H AND S DID NOT ACCEPT ME.

NO SCHOOL HAS GIVEN ME EVEN A HALF RIDE. NYU IS GIVING ME UNDER 20K/YEAR.

THIS WAS NOT IN THE REALM OF DREAMS FOR ME.

Similar situation here. No S or H acceptance, in at Chi/CLS but no full rides.

Yale is holistic. Luck does play a role -- but if you got in, you earned it. Most likely, multiple faculty reviewers all rated your file highly. At a bare minimum, multiple members of the adcom rated you highly.

Totally conjecture with no evidence, but based on the rather sizable "wave" reported on Reddit last night, I think that it was probably the final admit bunch we are going to see. The rest of us are almost certainly headed for ding/WL (though, that was always the case because it's Yale). I could see there being a few very sporadic one or two call nights from here, but I think it's basically over.

Odd. Maybe last year was an anomaly because i can’t imagine them admitting 70 more people

I'm inclined to think this is right. I'd guess 1-2 ding waves early this week and then a waitlist wave.

Any brave soul want to call them and ask if there are any more acceptance waves so we can make plans for scholarship deadlines? I would but I'm abroad.

Someone already admitted or someone without caller ID perhaps? Someone be a hero!

Ohmygod yes. It should be fair to just ask them whether all this waiting is for us to be sorted into waitlist versus reject or if there's still a tiny sliver of hope.

Someone on reddit called: "Stayed on the line. I drilled the person for answers, but they wouldnt budge. Decisions are going out till the end of the month, and, apparently, there are still “plenty” of spots left."

Argh. I really want to send in my deposit elsewhere and just be done with it, but I can't help but hold out hope for Yale. 14 days until the end of April...

When is YLS revisit weekend? I'm assuming they would want to get out all of their acceptances before then, right?
