YLS doesn't send confirmation emails for WL forms and LOCI, right?
I don't think so -- I didn't get one at least.

dont know if this would help at all but right now in the yls group there are 248 people, 13 admins, so 235 admits (*who have facebook*).

85% yield = .85 * 235 = 199 people - probably no more acceptances at that point
80% yield = .80 * 235 = 188 people - maybe 5-10 more acceptances for a class of 200?

if we are to go by last year's yield which was like 83%, that would be 195 people, leaving a couple spots.
happy to provide any updates on the # of people in the group. i also have to say, some people actually left the group too. I assume they decided to matriculate elsewhere

Deferrals should add to the WL > acceptance #, right? Or would they leave the FB group

Not unless there are more than last year, right? Or if people who deferred last year decide not to matriculate.

Do you know if they indicated whether there were more spots to be filled/whether the bulk of WL acceptances have been completed?

They said they’re still considering waitlist people, but they did say that last time for regular admission when it was clear they were done admitting so idk

A couple folks were added to the group in the past 2-3 days. Dunno if it's WL pulls or just recently found facebooks, but FYI.

This e-mail serves as confirmation of the receipt of your intent to remain on our waitlist for the Class of 2021 until [date]. Thank you for your continued interest in Yale Law School.

While you are waiting to receive a decision, I encourage you to do as much research about Yale Law School as possible. In the event an offer of admission is extended to you, you will have only a few days in which to make a decision. Our website, the Ask Asha blog, and the Student Perspectives blog, are the best places to begin your research. Dean Rangappa's blog entry about the waitlist may be of particular interest to you. Here are a few highlights from her post:

1) We do not provide status checks for the waitlist. We do not rank our list, so there really are no status changes for you to check. We will call in the event an offer of admission is being extended to you.

2) We are not able to provide receipt confirmations for each piece of material or correspondence you send to us.

3) Letters of continued interest are not necessary, but can be helpful. If you choose to submit a letter, keep it relatively brief and limit your correspondence to one letter for the summer.

4) Additional letters of recommendation are welcome, but should be kept as academically focused as possible.

5) If you are offered a seat in the class, you will not be able to defer your enrollment.

6) You will have only 48 to 72 hours to make a decision if you are offered admission, so be prepared to make a quick decision. It is unlikely you will have time to visit the campus, so visit now if that is an important part of your decision-making process.

7) If you have not yet applied for financial aid and you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, please submit your FAFSA to us now so we will be able to generate your financial aid offer in a timely manner. You will given access to Yale Law School's financial aid application, FAAST, in the event an offer of admission is extended to you.

Thank you again for your interest in Yale Law School!

Best regards,

Craig

Anyone else call about a missing confirmation email and get it sorted? I'd be upset to learn I wasn't in consideration these past two weeks.
