LDF scholarship

Post by triplem » Wed Apr 18, 2018 3:08 pm

Has anyone applied to this or learned more about what they want? I'm working on the essay but in terms of structure it's very vague. PM me if you have any insight.

What do you mean by what do they want? I am currently working on the application.

Do they want citations? Do they have a format preference? Moreover, I'm hoping that maybe someone who has received it would have some suggestions about what sort of tone they're looking for. Do they want detailed descriptions or broad strokes? Are they wanting context, or can we assume they know the context and devote the majority to solutions?

Triplem have you decided where you're going to school?

I wish. Still waiting for money answers. Berkeley is my first choice. NU would be my second choice but they offered me half as much this year as last year. Georgetown is the only school where I've received workable money at this point. I'm really, really hoping to get a decent offer from Berkeley and if I do I'll sign the dotted line in a split second. Technically, I'm still waiting to hear from Columbia but I think it's safe to assume that a snail mail rejection is probably already on the way.

I did the essay about voting rights and I broke mine into four different parts: intro, issue, and a two step solution.

Obviously it’s too late to make edits now but best of luck. I was glad to see that the award multiple scholarships.

I agree its a good offer to have but with that GPA and URM status, those thirteen points would effectively get you any school in the country.
