Final inhouse interview with a top executive. What to expect?

Post by AnonGuest » Wed Jun 16, 2021 2:40 am

I had multiple rounds of interviews for an inhouse position. So far the interviews included the GC, senior counsel, and some lower level execs. I made it through and I will be interviewing with the company's high ranking exec (non-lawyer) as my final interview.

I honestly don't even know how to prepare for this. This person will be far more experienced in life and work in general and I don't even know if there's anymore law oriented questions to be asked. Any idea what to expect? What goes on?

Primarily a personality/getting to know you interview. Be prepared to ask a lot of questions about the direction of the business, anticipated areas of growth, and this would also be a good time to ask questions about the company culture. Depending on which C-suite exec they are you may also inquire about their specific area of expertise. Congrats on getting this far, they would not be wasting this person’s time if you weren’t an extremely strong candidate.

No specific tips. No personal helpful experience. Just wanted to say good luck!
