On the plus side, if you do get into RE, if you live in one of the 33 states that do TOD or LadyBird deeds, it should be real easy to pick up doing that as a side-hustle, especially if you can get into a low-income / subsidized age-restricted community.
The fees are low, but there's enough volume to keep you going until you can develop a better book of business - especially if you have a paralegal do all the work. Typically, it's up to half an hour on the phone for a consultation, and about half an hour to sign the deed, for about $350-$500 per deed.
Plus, if all else fails, you can leverage that to do cheap wills and probates. it'll be volume work, but with good paralegals, it'll be a decent money maker.
