Hi everyone -- and particularly those taking Legal Research & Writing this semester -- we wanted to let you know about some software that we're offering 100% free for students and recent graduates:
If you're a law student (and PC user) and want to easily type legal symbols (e.g., §, ¶, ©, —, etc.) , you can download LawCuts for free by submitting the form at: lawcuts[dot]com/students
In short, instead of using alt codes or shortcuts that only word in Microsoft Word, LawCuts allows you to use the same shortcuts to insert symbols (e.g., "Ctrl + Alt + S" = §) in any application. You also get a symbols ribbon in Word — much easier than using the "More Symbols" menu.
We know that many aspects of law school can be frustrating, so we hope that we can help relieve one paint point by making this free for you.
Thanks — please let us know if you have any questions!
P.S. We hope this doesn't get taken down, as we're truly not getting anything out of it -- it's a free giveaway to make law students' lives easier. Thanks!
