If we submitted the scholarship acceptance form, do we also have to submit the candidate response form? I assume one is enough...
I'm pretty sure you have to do both just for official purposes. When I was sending it the deposit it reminded me to fill out the candidate response form.

For what? Studio? One bedroom?

If you have a roommate and get a 2 bedroom, you could easily pay 1200-1300/month and be within walking distance.

Deposited today.

Also, how does the scholarship/loan acceptance on caesar work? can we adjust the amount we borrow if we don't need the full COA?

Here is one on CL. I found several under 3k there but turnover in the area is fast. I recommend just checking it and other sites frequently over the next couple months, unless you're looking to move right now.

McClurg Court, Axis, Chestnut Place, the Chicagoan all have 2 bedrooms available that are less than 2800. However these prices are expected to rise over the summer. But it is definitely doable, and living in a 2br with a roommate is the most economical option. It is harder to find studios for less than 1800/1900.

Hey guys, I'm a 2L at Northwestern. If anyone is interested in playing fantasy football with some other Northwestern students, send me a PM. There is a $20 buy-in, but it won't be due until August.

Spent some time on Caesar this morning and though I definitely can't confirm (and new Caesar is super confusing so I'm extra unsure) it LOOKS LIKE sections are browsable for fall. I was able to piece together the following:

Civ Pro
1 Hoskins (ThF 130-3)
2 Redish (MTW 130-230)
3 Lupo (MTW 845-945)
4 Provenzano (MTW 230-330)

Criminal
1 Tuerkheimer (MTW 230-330)
2 Kleinfeld (ThF 130-3)
3 Nadler (MTW 130-230)
4 Rabinowitz (ThF 130-3)

Contracts
1 Kadens (MTW 845-945)
2 [Staff] (MTW 230-330)
3 Nzelibe (MTW230-330)
4 Markell (MTW 845-945)

Property
4 Shoked (MTW 11-12)

Torts
1 Shapo (MTW 11-12)
2 Mulaney (MTW 845-945)
3 Speta (ThF 130-3)

Assuming I'm right, sections would be:
1: Hoskins, Tuerkheimer, Kadens, Shapo
2: Redish, Kleinfeld, [Staff], Mulaney
3. Lupo, Nadler, Nzelibe, Speta
4. Provenzano, Rabinowitz, Markell, Shoked

Let's all speculate wildly.

Ooh fun! I love speculating wildly. Nice find. I had the mock class with Tuerkheimer and she seemed like a total badass, but I'm fully afraid of Kadens so... not sure how to feel about that hypothetical section, lol. I also sat in on a class with Lupo and he seemed pretty cool- he was very friendly and engaging.

Why is Kadens scary?

I'm hoping for section 4 only because I want to take property first.

Kadens can be very intimidating but she also cares a lot for her students and is an amazing resource to have as a 1l.

That's really good to know!

Re- scary- I'm mostly kidding because of course I don't know her at all but she just seems a bit... stern.

Not that there's anything wrong with being stern. It's outside of my comfort zone but that's got its advantages too. :)

oh you aren't wrong, it can be rough just hearing a "no" when you answer something. Eventually you'll realize that everyone gets that though. I was sweating bullets for my first cold call from her and her class is more demanding than other contracts sections but there are certainly benefits to it.

Hoskins is awesome and people only ever had complaints about Civ Pro itself, but Tuerkheimer can be quite polarizing regardless of your like or dislike of criminal law. She's very heavy on theories of punishment, and her class frequently feels a lot more like a freshman philosophy course than a law course. She also apparently ravaged our section with a lot of very poor grades and was not afraid to exceed the 10% requirement for B- and below.

It seems like that section 2 contracts class will be taught by Shawn Bayern (per Caesar), a visiting professor.

hate to use this shameless plug but do any older folks have good supplement suggestions for Nzelibe (contracts), nadler (crim), lupo (civ pro), or speta (torts)?
