Is anyone in NYC going to coffee with Dean Staudt on Thursday morning? Would love to meet you all!

Deposit made, apartment hunt started. Looks like I'm spending north of 800, which sucks since my current rent is 375...

HI all!

I deposited yesterday as well (in the same boat as everyone with some waitlists etc.), but I'm excited to get to know you all.
Oh lord, good luck as a Cubs fan. Don't go flying that W in St. Louis... (I say as a Cardinals fan)

Oh man I’m excited to move to such a strong baseball town but was hoping the school would have fewer cardinals fans (go Dodgers).

All the lawyers I can identify in the Cardinals front office seem to be WashU alum 👀

After some time in Boston, I'm just happy to be back in an area with National Leauge teams again!

Currently buying tickets to apartment-hunt during the first week of June and probably making the move in July. I’m assuming orientation starts August 20th but has that been officially released yet?

I will say that the only teams that this Cards fan and most other Cards fans truly dislike are (in descending order) the Cubs, Red Sox, Giants, Yankees and (kind of) Royals. I don't think you'll find StL too inhospitable at all unless the Dodgers come to town (which I don't believe they do this year?) Plus we'll root against the Giants with you all damn day!

It's still listed as TBA (https://law.wustl.edu/registrar/academi ... 8-2019.pdf) but based upon past years I would say that 8/20 is a very very safe bet.

Admissions confirmed that the 1st year JD orientation date has not been determined yet. I imagine as soon as it is confirmed they'll let admitted students know, presumably it will be sometime between 8/20 - 8/24.

Anyone who fully committed already get any information yet? Your complete financial aid package/breakdown of tuition or your official WashU email or anything else?

Same as DaydreamNation. Deposited and none of that yet, even after submitting my FAFSA and other financial aid application they asked for. Hoping it comes soon just so I know.

Wait there was another financial aid form besides FAFSA?

Ya. It doesn't seem to be well publicized, but here is the link:

I contacted the office, and they said they will be releasing FinAid packages in June. They also said you could schedule a call with them to talk about the loans you will need to borrow.

Like, schedule a call now or schedule one after packages are released in June?

How do we join the discord? And is there a separate C/O 2021 Facebook page or just the general WashU Law page?

There is an admitted students page for the law school class, but its mainly run by the admins. I'm not a discord expert at all, but I think the link below should be an invitation to join. Let me know if it isn't working and I'll try to mess with it.
