I gotta see what they offer, but if the money's right, I'm there.

Also, who else is going to ASW, and if you're going what events are you attending?

I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately, I want to practice in NYC so it's giving me some pause.

Missouri is whatever but the St. Louis Cardinals are my favorite sports team in the entire world so that would be a big plus. Probably going to try to go to the game on Saturday afternoon at the tail end of ASW if anyone else is interested!

edit: and by "probably" I mean that I just bought a bleacher ticket haha

Still waiting on Vandy, but if WashU ups my scholarship more, I'll probably end up there. My heart wants to wait it out with GT on the priority list, but WashU is the best fit for my goals with the options I have. I'm not totally sold on St. Louis as a place to live and that's my biggest hesitation. I have no clue where to go, I'm a mess, lol. I still have 7 or 8 schools in serious consideration.

I *loved* the city when I visited. I would probably live south of the park in Dog Town, but the more typical student areas north of campus looked really fun, and I enjoyed the restaurant I ate out at (Seoul Taco, at the recommendation of current students).

I also enjoyed St. Louis during my brief visit there in October. Not super sold on it as a whole (besides the school and the baseball team) but hey it's only three years (minus summers hopefully)

I'm from near St. Louis so i have a bias for loving the city. Right now I'm deciding between WashU and Texas. Being pretty sure I'd like to end up in St. Louis, New York, or Chicago, WashU seems like the move to make. So now it's about money. I was lucky enough to be offered $135,000 over three years but I'd like to get that up. The scholarship negotiation form is...simple yet intimidating? Basically asking "What amount would guarantee you're here?" and "What's your minimum amount to consider WashU?" (Plus the classic "Tell us why.") I'm a little worried on what to put. Do I go for it and say full tuition plus stipend (which my stats in no way deserve) gets a guarantee (I mean...it would)? What do I say in the minimum to get me to consider?

Either way, St. Louis is great and it's cheaper to live in than Austin, so... Plus, it's close to Forest Park, which is an awesome place.

But damn that Austin weather in the winter...

I'll be attending ASW. Is there a full schedule released yet?

Yes! It's in the admitted students portal but I can post it in here when I'm off of mobile

I was talking specifically about this part, "April 6: 9:00AM - 4:00PM [Admitted Students Events (Schedule to Follow)]." I keep hoping to see that schedule for April 6, haha.

Oh good point haha, honestly I just looked at the first and last events to see what time/day I should arrive/depart and didn't look at the schedule past that. I would imagine the usual mix of info sessions, building tour, Q&A with financial aid, and mock class but who knows.

I'm attending ASD. I know some others I met at Vandy this past weekend will be there as well. I'm down to those two as my finals. I loved Vandy this weekend, but WUSTL is ~60k cheaper after pay-off. So if I like WUSTL as much as Vandy, it will be a no-brainer. The only reason I'll pass it up is if I don't get a good vibe during the trip.

Just toured the school today and met with the dean and a current student. Everyone there are pros and very nice. It was POURING rain though, which was dreadful. Luckily I had all day yesterday to visit Forest Park/Art Museum/The Zoo/Downtown without the rain. Now just hoping for a scholarship increase and then likely depositing.

Same! LSL Meetup at The Plaza?

(Also, WashU booked this for me for BigJohn's information).

It's on! I spoke with someone at the hotel and they mentioned that they're very full these days so I'd imagine we will not be the only prospective WashUers staying there!
