I don't think anyone on here is qualified to talk about the best law schools in Australia, but a quick Google search led me to:

So maybe look at University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, Australian National University, Monash University, University of Western Australia, and University of Queensland.

my friend's wife went to ANU, and it's an undergrad degree, not grad school.

They have a graduate law school as well! It looks like Australia is a country that will let you practice if you have a Bachelor's in law (LLB), but you can get a JD if you had a non-law undergrad background and then LLM programs are an option as well.
