my friend's wife went to ANU, and it's an undergrad degree, not grad school.

They have a graduate law school as well! It looks like Australia is a country that will let you practice if you have a Bachelor's in law (LLB), but you can get a JD if you had a non-law undergrad background and then LLM programs are an option as well.
