Done.

What a year. I've never done anything that's quite like 1L.

Yeah, this journal comp is rough. "Five pages" doesn't sound like a lot until you realize that the footnotes will be longer than the discussion.

Pretty sure I just ended my law career today by turning in an absolute dog shit con law exam. I studied hard and thought I knew the material but the exam felt like it was written in a foreign language. Pretty sure I bombed, so now im basically praying for at least a B.

But now that I’m officially done with 1L I can confidently say that law school has been the most demoralizing, ostracizing experience of my life. I have never felt more stressed or alone in my entire life.

That said, it’ll be a nice change to be working this summer in a office with regular 9-5 hours and relatively low expectations.

hard part's over, and in a couple weeks you'll be able to look back and laugh. finish out exams, grab some drinks, and enjoy your summer!

This thread keeps driving home how unusually early a schedule W&L has. I've been at my internship for a week (after a week off) and I'll be turning in my write-on materials tomorrow.

I posted on the law review thread -- but I'll post here. Any clue how to find note proposal ideas? I have some ideas but not sure what it is supposed to be exactly.

I'm so glad we did write-on over spring break. It was sadistic then, but I just feel better about it now because I was able to take off from work then and I'm currently in a week of work hell because I couldn't just take off right after finals this semester. That would have made write-on suck.

Also, I got accepted to our Business Law Review, so the effort was worth it. You guys doing write-on can make it!

Even better, they kept the point exchange such that I wouldn't have come out ahead by getting Amazon gift cards and ordering it there.

Furious applications and the quest for interviews. One more week on the summer internship, then I head back to Lexington. How about you?

More or less same. Got some interviews lined up through the school and some applications out. Trying not to stress too much

Con Law (we're in the weird camp that does this 2L), Evidence, Family Law, and a Statutory Interpretation practicum.

Since I am on the quarter system, I only need 16 credits/quarter. I'm taking Evidence, Individual Income Tax, and Trademark/Trade Secret Law for the fall.

I'm really excited for all the classes I'm taking (very interested!) but also my schedule has me physically in class: 10:30-12:20 M-F, and 1:30-3:00 M,W,F. So I have T & Th afternoons off.
This is great for many reasons, one of which is only needing to pay for 3-day/week after-school childcare for Terror. Also late mornings mean I have time to go for a run and do my reading (we'll see) before class.

16 credits would be a huge load for us. After the heavy semesters of 1L, we only need to average 13 credits per semester to graduate (my four classes come to 14).

Our registration opens tomorrow, will have 13 if I get everything I want. Planning my schedule around BA and FedCourts (with my ConLaw prof who gave me my highest grade of the year!).
