Source: someone who has GERD
If someone told me the cure to an illness was to quit drinking coffee, beer, and bourbon, I'd think it was pretty fucking serious.

NYC Solid core doors are heavy, as opposed to cheap doors that you buy for $50 at home depot. It's pretty easy to tell t...

Mine. With double sheetrock and solid core doors. (small firm)
wow this would be a dream come true
Apparently the partners feel the same way about noise that I do. The doubled-up sheet rock goes above the drop ceiling all the way to concrete.

Re: What happens to Scholarship money as people decline offers?

They initially offer more scholarships than they can afford and try and project how many people will eventually decline offers. There is no extra money. Ah so it fell in the stupid question category. No idea why this wasn’t one of the many potential scenarios I considered. Your question isn't compl...

Re: Ropes & Gray sued for malpractice

lol so this dude was told repeatedly what was happening, didn’t read his emails, didn’t read the docs and signed. I don't get that same read. He was told repeatedly what was happening only after the document was signed . According to that WIRED story, the two had agreed to update the operating agre...

Mike, and Spivey colleagues, How are really old adverse grades considered in light of an exceptional academic record when one decided to re-enter college much later in life? As a blunderous youth, I failed several courses - more than 5 but less than 10. Then I re-entered college more than 10 years ...

Re: THE Sacred LSL Admissions Decision Ashram

I'd like to suggest an addition to the standard decision template: a question designed to tease out an applicant's opportunity cost. It could be as simple as "what are you currently doing?" or phrased more elaborately. This is a huge factor in any proper cost-benefit analysis. Welcome! Glad we're p...

Spivey, Would you mind dropping a lawschool.life reference into a few posts on TLS? You'll have to get creative at this point. "www dot lawschool dot life" or something similar would work. There's some stragglers over there that don't believe LSL is legit. ETA: North's statement below is accurate, b...
