I would take Cornell here since you're much more likely to get big law, though I was in a similar situation and decided to retake.

Put another way, if someone's goal is to work in Chicago, and they only have two choices at equal cost, UCLA or Vandy, where should they go? inb4 "don't go"/"retake and reapply" Do you mean the goal is to get a job at any firm in Chicago or the goal is to get a job at a large firm, paying cravath s...

Re: Employment Statistics by School - C/O 2017 rolling out + C/O 2012-2016 data

Uh so elephant in the room. Is anyone else nervous about how these schools will handle an economic downturn (which seems inevitable)? C/O 2016, and 2017 are profiting now, but what about C/0 2020 and 2021? I mean, if there's an economic downturn, then the numbers will go down. there really isn't an...

So I'm deciding between Duke and Michigan. Both are the exact same price. I think I'm a better "fit" at Mich, but would enjoy both. Would I be an idiot to go to Michigan over Duke considering these numbers? Both went up this year, but Duke's are ridiculous. BigLaw+FC: Michigan = 70.9% Duke = 81.3% ...

Leak from WashU admitted students day Big Law + Fed Clerks is 50%+, assuming that means 50.X% 12 fed clerks will be on the form, they have 13 from the class but one was deferred a year. That's a good increase, but are you sure they're using Big Law + Fed Clerks and are not including State clerks? M...

Re: 1L Summer Scheduling

Is the government agency in the market you want to network? The biggest thing you'll want 1L summer to accomplish is to network at various firm events (this is assuming you want biglaw in the market, so ignore my advice if that's not the case) and hopefully lock down early interviews.
