Re: Practice Questions Explanations Megathread

A high school teacher played on a hockey team in a local recreational league. During a league game, the teacher was involved in a fight with another hockey player. That player sued the teacher in a battery action to recover for injuries inflicted during the fight. The teacher contended that he had ...

Re: MBE Study Aid Review (Compared to Adaptibar)

Ahaha yeah, I got creative with that one... I really hate those questions. Anyway, apart from a couple of questions it wasn't a problem to figure out the explanation by myself (or on the questions explanation megathread, thanks to this forum). Especially since you have to do it with Adaptibar too be...

I picked A because it sounds like a fishy way of wording the miranda issue at play here. It's inadmissible because he didn't get his miranda r...

Re: Strong MBE = AUTO bar pass

To summarize, I thought you need to reach baseline scores for both the MBE and the essay in CA, since each part makes up 50% of the total score. I could be wrong. I'd love for someone to explain to me how it works. I'd also like to ask that you explain it as if you were talking to a small child. Fr...

Re: Strong MBE = AUTO bar pass

Lol. Okay, so he told me his guess of my score was 130/175 (or 74.3%). So on the calculator, I'd put in 130 (even though the calculator input box says out of 200) and NOT 149 (which is 74.3% of 200). To match up with my actual bar exam score, I only had to add 3 to the raw MBE input (so 133). Hope ...

MINIMUUUUUUUUM COMPETENCYYYYYYYYY fuck my life. doing this twice is really screwing with me. Yeah, minimum competency my ass. As I read somewhere on this forum (or was it TLS?) it's become more of a tricky competition for a limited number of bar licenses rather than a test of minimum competency. An...

Re: Strong MBE = AUTO bar pass

For what it's worth, I think the input for the MBE score on the One-Timers calculator is actually the raw score out of 175, not 200. He could be wrong, but Joe Seperac reverse-engineered and gave me his guess-timate of my raw MBE score out of 175. When I input that into the calculator (along with m...

I definitely don’t feel comfortable with the MBE haha.. I wish Adaptibar had these newly requested questions already! 😡😑 You just need an extra point from last time! Re: Strong MBE = AUTO bar pass

According to the one-timers calculator, in California, where the cut score is 144, you need a RAW 168/175 on the MBE to auto pass the bar. That means a 183ish scaled on the MBE and 40 on every written part. More doable is probably a 55 on every written part (which means you got a couple of issues ri...

Re: MBE Study Aid Review (Compared to Adaptibar)

Thanks so much for this. I would love any of your additional thoughts. I did Barbri the first time; failed by 1.11 points (MBE). I'm at about 1550 Adaptibar questions, with just the two remaining OPEs left (that I was going to do today/tomorrow). What do you recommend to do wrt Crim Law/Crim Pro? A...

MBE Study Aid Review (Compared to Adaptibar)

I was consistently scoring around 70-80% on mixed questions Adaptibar (total of >500 questions) so I've decided to see how I would score on the newly released 210 questions from the NCBEX Store http://store.ncbex.org/mbe-study-aid-download/ . I will post my observations for each subject until I'll b...

Same, dude. My Adaptibar score is shit today, so that's also making me feel really good about everything... Don't focus too much on your daily score, just look at you overall average in this session. And in particular, at how you've been scoring since you started only mixed questions. That helps a ...

Fell off the wagon yesterday and trying to be really productive today. How's everyone else doing? Just had a couple of days like that last week.
