Re: Class of 2021: 2L 2 Furious

Anyone else starting to feel like the phrase "It gets easier after 1L because you don't have legal writing" was a lie?

Re: Old Fart Support Group

I learned very quickly to take time off work that coincides with the random holidays school actually observes, spring break, and between semesters to keep my sanity with working full-time. Oh yeah, you are in a part-time type program, is that right? Are there more non-traditional students in your c...

Re: Class of 2021: 2L 2 Furious

Working my regular job and evening class this summer for me. I'm working on getting legal experience through work. Can't go into specifics because it would be too identifiable. Right now I'm in Con Law and Crim Pro for sure, our evening program makes us take these our 2L year and Property in the spr...

Re: Old Fart Support Group

1l was pretty good for me. Very tiring, but I do not regret the decision. I was able to write-on to one of our law journals as well. I have summer class finals over the next week, and then I'm off on vacation until school starts. I learned very quickly to take time off work that coincides with the r...

Re: Class of 2021: we're basically 1.5Ls now

I'm so glad we did write-on over spring break. It was sadistic then, but I just feel better about it now because I was able to take off from work then and I'm currently in a week of work hell because I couldn't just take off right after finals this semester. That would have made write-on suck. Also,...

Re: Old Fart Support Group

Finished last week. Enjoying 2 more weeks of no classes before summer session starts and going on vacation from work starting Friday, I'm a night student. Got onto a Journal during our write-on competition over spring break and am feeling pretty good about wrapping up year 1 of 4.

Re: Class of 2021: we're basically 1.5Ls now

Our write-on was over spring break. 7 days in Mexico away from work and school turned into 7 days of some control over how much I slept, reading 500 pages of cases, and adapting to the style sheet that was very different than our legal writing class. Oh they are evil for making it over spring break...

Re: Bibles and Practice Tests

I would continue to work through the Bibles, at least LR and LG. You need to get through all the concepts for question types and a basic approach. I would say the most difficult thing if you only focus on the Bibles is that you might get rusty on the old stuff, depending on how long it takes you to ...

Re: Top 25 at S how much does no law review matter

Class of 2014 grad currently in a COA clerkship. I worked one year in big law and then spent two years clerking at a district court. What class year is realistic to push for with firms? Don't pretend to be a law school graduate if you are not. It gives people a false impression when evaluating your...

Re: Introduction/Need Help

Regarding weak spots from 7sage, if there's a type that you're consistently getting wrong, that's what I would talk to your tutor about if you still have one. I used 7sage to identify what I wanted to work on with the tutor I had, they watched me do a couple problems of that type from the earlier te...

Re: Are Powerscore bibles + Manhattan + real practice tests still the way to go?

Yea, I used 7-sage to track my progress and locate weakness.

I also alternated between a full test and an six section each week on the same day and time as the actual test for the two months leading up to the test to not have fatigue issues.

Re: Class of 2021: It's so c0Ld in the D.

Yea, we covered all of that in class. However, our professor only required us to know the cases/concepts, and memorize one restatement. We got a copy of the UCC for the final and while he covered the CISG in class he told us we would not be tested on it since there's only so much he can expect us to...

Are you not using testing software? Registrar said Exam4 on take home mode, which will allow for cutting and pasting as well as web access. Neither seems like it'll be helpful from my initial practice test experience yeah anything you can copy paste will almost certainly be a trivial part of the ex...

I feel like I bombed my memo lmfao. Oh well, guess I'll find out eventually I'm literally in memo hell. Spent probably 30 hours working on it across the last 3.5 weeks because I've basically done two full rewrites since my first draft. Final draft due Wednesday and my professor has not been giving ...

Call them directly. They'll figure something out.

I had an issue with a test center's voicemail saying they were closed due to water damage two days before the test. Called up LSAC and they figured everything out within 24 hours.

Re: GTown & GW Part Time

They still report them. I was able to see the 2017 class information by FT and PT program in the the 2018 UNWR data before my 1 year plan expired. I'm pretty sure the PT student data rolls up into the full time for overall rank and then is separated out for the PT rank. So then wouldn't the PT medi...
