If you’re getting bad scores on the essays, work on how you’re structuring them. You c...

Re: Cancelling an accepted offer
I reneged on a summer offer, and the employer was pissed and contacted my school to complain about me. my school forced me to have two conference calls about how awful what I did was etc but I wouldn’t have my career as it stands if I didn’t make that decision. the job was massively better, the pay ...

Re: Student Loans: Payment Options and Numbers
I’m down to 97k from 194k and it’s looking more and more like I’m going to hit that FRB rebate by paying them off before February 2021 (I’ve paid 39k in the last 12 months lol) paying my loans down is apparently my drug of choice. the high only lasts a minute, the costs are excessive, it’s possibly ...

Re: Student Loans: Payment Options and Numbers
Does anyone know if the old TLS personal finance thread made it over here? I can’t find it and I’m curious about Schwab investing. I was planning on opening a PRCA and going 70/20/10 on a vanguard total index/international/bond but I wasn’t sure if this was right decision or not and what pros/cons ...

Re: In House Interview -- contract editing exercise
I had to do this one time for an in-house interview at an investment advisor. In that instance they gave me a standard ISDA and prime brokerage agreement and had me mark them up with suggested edits. Then they reviewed my edits and had me explain them. To be honest, this firm seemed like a miserable...

That was my interpretation of the the requirement and that article. making this statement while simultaneously being so full of yourself to assume that 99% of applicants, most of who probably weren’t even transfers!, just got it wrong is perfect You're really going to town on that strawman. I don't...

FRB raised interest rates maybe about 18 months ago from the 1.95 base scale, but then they quickly put it back down to the original scale. They dont exactly follow the market. exactly. I refinanced in February 2017 on a higher scale than the 1.95 base and then modified in October 2017 down to the ...
