Re: CUNY Law vs New York Law School
CUNY has a 75% employment score on LST, the degree is far from worthless. And $15k a year is amazingly cheap. For that price I don't think there's any real harm in going for it. Other than your life being consumed by part-time law school for years, which does sound pretty awful. The 75% employment ...

Re: CUNY Law vs New York Law School
NYLS is not good unless you can go for $0 total cost of attendance and have a job lined up at a small firm or something CUNY is a great school only for people who want to go into government or small-time public interest Absolutely do not go to a school with a GPA stipulation attached to your scholar...

Re: PSA: Do Not Pay Full Price for a Bar Course (NEGOTIATE!)
Similarly, Kaplan had a buy one get one free type deal. If one person pays for a course, a friend pursuing a PI job can get the course for free. Kaplan would initially insist that the first person pay full price, but that was also eventually negotiable. anyone have any information on this? ugg/JD t...

2L summer --> employment
Ok y'all. What is the most appropriate way to do this? I'm at a very large legal services provider for the summer, doing tenant litigation (some affirmative, some eviction defense.) I wanna make this my post-grad job. Before pandemic, I kind of assumed it would be a breeze, as hiring in housing fiel...

Re: Berkeley to HYS?
Unless you are getting $0 from boalt or your career goals are so unicorn that they could only be found from HYS, I think LSL usually advises against this. If you have the HHs from boalt necessary to transfer, consider that your options may be better as a top % than they would be from HYS. Advice #1 ...

Re: Summer NYC SA sublet
Facebook has a number of pages called Gypsy Housing where summer sublets are constantly being posted. This is probably stop #1 for a sublet. You can also use Roomi, an app that often has sublets available, and you interface directly with the person you're subletting or renting with, rather than from...

Re: T14 with higher LSAT boost possible?
With a 3.1 and a 163 you are in at some T20, and yes the URM boost will get you there. But why hedge your bets? Crack that +166 on Nov LSAT (but shoot for as high as possible) and you are def in at T14 (altho CCNHYS might be out, as their GPA floor is pretty harsh) okay cool, thanks for the respons...

Re: LOR Writer Submitted Rec Without Showing Me First..Should I Request To See It?
Depends on if you opted out of viewing the letter via LSAC website. If you did, you should not ask to see it. I don't recall that even being an option on the LSAC website. The language is something like "waiving your rights" to view letters. There is some evidence that adcomms prefer these waived l...
