Re: 2018-2019 Post-Clerkship Hiring

Got invited to interview at a fairly large, well-respected Midwestern firm on Jan. 23rd. The recruitment lady asked me for my availability for this week and I let her know what my schedule looked like (I also made it clear that I'd be extremely flexible - I'm clerking, they don't need me around eve...

I met someone recently who knew a girl at UChicago in the bottom 50th of the class and she is, apparently, struggling to land biglaw. I know this is a random example, and there may be a number of reasons for her failures, but is that an expected outcome if you fall into the bottom half of the class...

Re: I googled "law school scholarship negotiation sample letters"

i completely understand wanting to work off a template but there's much to be gained in taking the time to sit down and draft something from scratch. This. Once someone posts a sample in this thread, admissions offices across the country will receive dozens of identical letters. That is not a good ...

Clarification on JSP scale

I am currently clerking and am at JSP-13. I have another clerkship starting next fall. Can I assume I will be JSP-14 for my next clerkship? Is there any reason I wouldn't get the pay bump when I switch chambers?
