I've also seen "Senior Counsel" and fuck knows what that means. Maybe like a non-equity junior partner designation?

Also do you need liquidity for any reason? Do you already have an adequate cash reserve for emergencies?

Now this happens to me on iPhone. Not the pop up, but the issue where hitting the back button takes me two pages back.

Re: Student Loans: Payment Options and Numbers

Ahem FRB* could get you down to under 3% but not if you don't live in the right area.

Realistically you'd be looking at like 4.5-5% with the other banks (Darien Rowayton, SoFi, etc.) so up to you whether that's worth it or not for losing the protections of federal student loans.

I'm not sure about Nelnet specifically but that's standard practice with the servicers I've used.

Marijuana is just starting to shed its stigma. We're not anywhere close to that point with psychodelics.

Re: Bug Report Thread

Do you have a content blocker? Almost every iOS blocker causes the Amazon embeds not to work since they get flagged as ads. Adding amazon to the blocker’s whitelist usually fixes it. :!: This was the issue, thanks much! Adding Amazon to the white list didn't work but adding LSL did. Don't want to b...

Re: Bug Report Thread

Twitter and Amazon embeds only seem to work like every other time. I pretty much exclusively browse on an iPhone, on safari using proflat board preference. For Amazon I just get a big blank space. Twitter is just a hyperlink that says Loading.

Re: Corporate Mediation?

Do you just mean mediation between businesses? If so lit is by far the most relevant background for this. Can't imagine corporate restructuring would give you much insight. Basically follow the same path as any other type of mediation.

I think if I gave more details the client would be less inclined to pay for my time, not more

Re: Survey of YOUR Block-Billing/Bill-Itemizing Practices

I pretty much could always get away with the semi-colon method (and in some extreme cases the one liner), but those few instances of task billing were a complete bitch

Re: Bug Report Thread

Did something change with tweet embedding? Never had this problem before but today, the two most recent tweets in the Trump thread are appearing too big for my mobile. They have a scrollbar embedded in the post. I can only see half the tweet and am unable to scroll over to see the rest. Just looked ...

Re: Biglaw cell phones

Depends on your firm's policy. I think most give you the option to either carry two or receive some $ towards your personal phone bill. I did one phone with my last job and do two phones now and honestly, two phones sucks, but it's not as bad as I thought it'd be. Nice to have the peace of mind that...

Re: TLS Debate - Shoes for Interview

No one is hating on brown 🙄 I definitely remember people on TLS who had a “black cap-toe oxfords only” mindset on TLS. I got advice there when I was going though OCI, and as an interviewer now I think I felt the need to dress more conservatively than necessary. There's nothing wrong with dressing T...

What are thoughts on black loafer/no socks, not for an interview but this generally? I kind of want to be that guy but I feel like you got to be older to do it
Can't the loafer be literally any other color? Black seems too formal for sockless

why cant they just find their apartments without a broker? You can. It's often times a luxury. Similar to paying someone else to file your taxes for you. Word is that there are a few reputable brokers who can get you good deals that you otherwise couldn't find on your own. My school partnered with ...
