Re: Give up?

I would not give up. You have very good credentials on paper. I would apply more broadly. What does “liberal” judge mean to you when you apply? How are you determining whether a judge is liberal? At this point I've applied to like, 150 judges or something. But I'm trying to broaden as much as I can...

Re: Give up?

You should consider the other half of the judiciary. Even as a liberal, you can apply to most Bush/Trump appointees without applying to someone like Walker or Ho. Most cases, and thus most of a clerk's work, don't have any left/right polarization. And working for a liberal judge won't spare you fro...

Give up?

I am a Harvard 3L. I applied right when the plan opened, and I have continued applying since then. I'm around top 10-15% grade-wise; I do multiple extracurriculars; I have had multiple research assistant positions; I have interned at an impact lit place, a top law firm, and a public defender office;...

how do 2L grades get released? All at once, trickle in? When do they start coming out? The lack of info on this subject is so annoying

Anyone heard back about BSA/heard about someone who has?
radio silence here...Are they calling rn or is it about the time?
According to TLS last year emails had been sent on/by July 9. I assume they might come out later this year? As we ended later? Maybe?
came out today!

Re: Harvard Students and Grads Taking Questions

Does anyone know if you get notified when a grade for an upper level course gets posted? Or should I just keep periodically checking helios lol I don't think any are coming out until Friday at the earliest. That's when 3L grades should get released, and you're not getting grades before graduating 3...

Would you estimate that most HLS students went to "prestigious" undergraduate colleges (let's say, the top 20 or so universities/LACs)?
"most?" no. A good deal, yes.

april_ludgate and I were thinking of organizing a little meetup of lsl folks during O-week. Maybe a groupme or something. Give me a thumbs up and I'll take point on setting it up I'm definitely down! Whenever I'm reading the fb group/groupme I'm always wondering who's actually an lsl-er  it'll...

It gives me anxiety that there's no anxiety on this thread anymore. Glad I'm not the only one who hasn't given up!
I for sure have not given up, but it seems pretty unlikely at this point doesn’t it? Though I thought for sure at least one of us here would make it off

Re: Harvard Law Admitted Students (Class of 2021)

Is it possible to estimate financial aid I can expect, even just a ballpark? Currently on the waitlist but got a feeler call and am trying to figure out if this is a real possibility of not! How much money do your parents make combined From what people have said I wouldn’t expect too much aid. But ...

Do you know if they indicated whether there were more spots to be filled/whether the bulk of WL acceptances have been completed?
They said they’re still considering waitlist people, but they did say that last time for regular admission when it was clear they were done admitting so idk

Re: Yale Waitlist (Class of 2021)

looking at the TLS forum last year, it seems like it was hard to track waitlist movement because people 1. users who got admitted off the waitlist want to protect their anonymity and 2. there are so few people who get off the waitlist that the likelihood that the person is also an avid forum user i...

Are you guys writing LOCIs? It asked on the WL form how long we'd stay on for and I know people don't write Why Yale essays which seems like the 2 purposes of a LOCI, unless you have new stuff going on in your life to add.
I wrote one, but only because I had new stuff to add
