Hi! Is it reasonable for admitted students to email professors (admitted recently) about opportunities in a specific research area? I'm curious, though I'm unsure if it would be to aggressive to contact faculty this early.

Has anybody admitted to SLS considered the CS joint degree program?

I'm very interested, but I've heard rumors that a joint degree in a different field might hurt me if I'm interested in BigLaw or clerkships. Does someone have experience that might help with this?

New user here -- I recently received admission to Stanford, and I'm leaning towards attending. Has anyone had experience deferring from SLS for a year?
