There are exceptions. Some SSC justices are very well-known and reputable, and having a clerkship from them could be seen as equivalent of a generic Fed clerkship. This is true. Be sure to research the individual justice. E.g., Justice Lee in Utah or formerly Justice Willett in TX. Plenty of great ...

Generally, the Texas Supreme Court puts out a flyer welcoming people to apply for clerkships in January the year before the clerkship will begin. No such flyer has been posted yet.
