Re: Severance in Biglaw Require an NDA?
since we do not know OP’s situation we can’t say whether her firing was legal or illegal. OP, you should talk to an attorney if you’re so inclined.

Re: Severance in Biglaw Require an NDA?
Obviously, not offering any legal advice or anything but aren't discrimination claims kind of hard to make, especially if they did their paper trail of bad review -> out? Did someone direct a slur at you? Also if you plan to pursue other firms, playing ball by signing the severance agreement? Of co...

Re: TLS/LSLer seeking lateral choice advice
I think you are feeling like you got this possible offer and there is some change going down at your firm and you’re not sure if you’ll be able to leave with the same opportunity if 6-12 months so you’re getting anxious (totally understandable). But there’s no reason to think you won’t have the oppo...

Re: TLS/LSLer seeking lateral choice advice
Everything I just read points to not leaving and seeing how things go at your current firm for the next 6 months to a year.
Also Rockstar going to his client doesn’t really mean the work is leaving. when work comes up that he can’t do alone/doesn’t have time for he’ll feed it to your firm.

Are you in school trying to get a clerkship or applying to school and working on your personal statement? It can’t be both.

Re: Survey of YOUR Block-Billing/Bill-Itemizing Practices
Yeah insurance requires task/phase billing and more details (with lower rates and more cuts to bills 🙄). Private clients still don’t allow block billing but are less annoying about their bills. I generally have to itemize and can barely ever block bill. Both things in the OP are considered block bil...

No, I work at a boutique firm. We have a summer program but still interview 3Ls if we have a need for associates.

welcome beep! <3
Saul- like I said above, I do mainly employment and only deal with union issues if they come up in my employment cases. All I can say is labor is a very niche practice and I’m not sure I’d just jump into it without any experience.
