Re: Columbia Law School Class of 2022 Applicants

I am very fortunate to have been admitted, and I would love to attend, but I am freaking out about how to pay for it (or really any law school at this point). ALSO anyone headed to the first ASW? My subsidy isn't enough t...

(Don't quote)

You would choose CLS over hls? Was that because of the likelihood you would get a named scholarship from CLS? The cycle is not over, there is still hope. Perhaps you can show them that you really want to be there.

Re: Georgetown Law c/o 2022 Applicants

What about need based aid? Does the type of school affects the amount (in addition to own financial needs?).
Is k60 truly the max one could get from GT?

Re: Spivey Consulting Q&A with Adcoms from Yale, Harvard, Penn, Chicago etc.

Hi Spivey team, I hear that the lsac automatically sends lsat retake scores to schools. For candidates already being reviewed, do schools take notice right away of the added new score (e.g for a later session of the test, when admissions decisions are already made/or in progress) or would the school...

Re: Columbia Law School Class of 2022 Applicants

What is the maximum need based aid (which does not need to be repaid) that one can get from fafsa/css as an independent student? There must be a limit at which point you have to take loans regardless of your needs?

Re: Columbia Law School Class of 2022 Applicants

I am wondering if we should move some of these questions to a CLS admitted group... has anyone here already competed a CSS profile? I had never heard of this before. It seems pretty thorough.

Re: Columbia Law School Class of 2022 Applicants

Anyone knows if there is a cap on how much aid (loans excluded) one can receive from CLS? I heard HLS max is about k31?
Is it possible for someone to get a combination of merit aid and need based aid amounting to tuition + living expenses or something close at CLS?

Re: Columbia Merit-aid

Hi all! So what's the deal if we were accepted to Columbia but did not receive a Hamilton or Butler scholarship? Do they consider giving a merit-based scholarship like other schools do? If so, does anyone know what that process is like (timeline, forms, negotiations, etc.)? Thanks! Yeah, you have t...

Re: Columbia Law School Class of 2022 Applicants

How generous is Columbia’s financial aid package (butler/Hamilton) not included. I understand that financial need may be a consideration, just curious.
