Re: How to learn how to do well on a law school exam
I realize this is an old thread, but I thought I would chime in with a method that helped me as I transitioned from 1L to 2L. I saw a huge improvement in my grades due to it, and I think it incorporates the spirit of this guide-- which is fantastic-- in a practical manner: When you start your 1L yea...

Re: Highest Paying Legal Fields
Most law students are just trying to find gainful employment wherever they can. This sums it up, to be honest. As a 2L, I'm still mystified by classmates that know what they want to practice, especially those that knew when they entered law school. As has been suggested, you're likely going to get ...

Re: UChi c/o 2022 Applicants
When did you apply?
Many of us applied in early September and didn't go complete until November. If you applied later, you may just be stuck waiting for them to process all of our apps

Re: Northwestern c/o 2022
Admitted ED. I'm guessing first wave of RD will be later in the week, I'd expect it to come before Christmas Congrats! I was waitlisted, which isn't much of a surprise. Part of me is still holding out for the first wave of RD given the whole GI Bill/not needing the ED scholarship deal, but it's a s...

Re: WUSTL c/o 2022 Applicants
Officially waitlisted as of today. To be honest, though, I'm just happy to finally have a reply lol. 10 weeks after interviewing is crazy, at least compared to their usual turnaround
There goes the perfect acceptance record, which I imagine will get another ding or two in the next few weeks

Re: Northwestern c/o 2022
Since the 15th (earliest reported decisions on TLS) is a Saturday, I imagine ED decisions come out next week. Hopefully early since other cycles were 15th-18th, but they seemed to favor Thursdays

Re: WUSTL c/o 2022 Applicants
And the radio silence continues. I've been accepted to four other schools so far, including another T20, but nothing from WUSTL. There were two TLS users that had this happen to them last year, and one of them decided to email the admissions office in late December. They got the standard "busy/all a...

Re: Northwestern c/o 2022
I'm on active duty, so I got fee waivers to just about every school but Harvard (those asses.... lol). I initially planned to apply to all of them, but then I noticed the report fee. I applied for an LSAC waiver, and they replied that my bank account "exceeded the acceptable threshold" ( not that my...

Re: Northwestern c/o 2022
I made the (perhaps foolish) decision to wait on applying to other schools until I get the decision back to save on app fees. I figure worst case I'm submitted everywhere else by Christmas, and I think not getting ED is unlikely for my numbers (esp since c/o 2022 is getting boned with that scholars...

Re: Northwestern c/o 2022
It sucks. But hey, we've waited this long; what's a few more weeks? If you've applied to other schools, you'll likely start receiving decisions in the meantime, if you haven't already. Keep yourself preoccupied by looking into your other choices. Personally, I've borderline obsessively dug through t...

FWIW, digging around the TLS forums showed that ED started getting replies between Dec 15th - 18th, so hopefully we get good news in a few weeksBetterCallDonna wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 12:40 pmAnyone have an idea of when RD candidates usually start hearing back?

Same. That's strange, but at least they haven't forgotten our applications. I'm suspicious that's what happened with my WUSTL application I interviewed for back in September -_-

Re: UChi c/o 2022 Applicants
I wouldn't look too far into that either. Since admissions are on a rolling basis, not everyone's going to proceed in lockstep. We may get interview invites in the next round (which I believe someone suggested would likely be next month), or we may never get interview invites. The timing shouldn't a...
