Re: GULC students & grads taking questions

lol that's not the place to go. I ended up with at least one per class via some combo of peer advisor, 2/3Ls I met through student orgs, and the outline bank. I don't recall if I asked anyone for outlines, but I definitely didn't ask for "A" outlines or anything (bc who does that), but IME that's u...

Public interest jobs I think are more about doing ~all the things~ in the niche you are interested (on top of good grades, more or less), ...

Re: Class of 2018 - I guess we have to do jobs now

I love it enough that I had a weird feeling yesterday where I was like mildly disappointed that I wouldn't be going in today. Wanna do some of my doc review? lol How about now? Today my boss asked why I was still here and said that we have to really aim for 8 hour days. It was 4 pm. So that'll be a...

Gray’s Guide to Government Honors Programs

If you want to work for the government, you’ve probably already read all about the terrible odds, hiring freezes, slow interviewing process and other sources of misery that come with applying to the honors programs. Re: How do I find this cite?

Not sure which forum this belongs in. Saw a cite in a SCOTUS case to an old Department of Treasury regulation, 26 CFR Section 410.5 (1938). The citation isn’t hyperlinked and I can’t find it in Lexis or westlaw. Googling it takes me to the case that cited it but not, seemingly, to the full text of ...

Re: GULC students & grads taking questions

How difficult is it to get DC biglaw? My impression (based on anecdotal evidence) is that top third students have a solid chance, above median have some chance, and below median it's not very likely. But I know top 15% people who struck out generally and people below median who had DC offers, so th...
