Re: 156, 3.23 - Apply Part Time or Retake?

I also think a retake here is the way to go. You'll have plenty of time to bump up the score, jumping 10+ points from 156 is not that hard, and doing so will net you way more scholarship $$$ and school opportunities. Anecdotally, I had a worse LSAT and saw about a 20 point jump. There are a ton of g...

Re: Human rights / international public law firms ? Salaries?

Apologies mods for writing this as a 3L in the Legal Employment forum, but I felt like this anecdote was relevant to OP's salary question. This week one of my classes had a guest speaker from a prominent international human rights organization. They were pretty senior within the organization. Somebo...

Re: duke, uva, cornell, or retake

thanks for all the help. can anyone weigh in on the retake question above? i understand it may be a question of personal priorities, but would retaking to go to HYS meaningfully impact PI/gov career outcomes? I (pretty) recently sat out a cycle after scoring a bit below you and then retook 4 times....

Re: BREAKING: June 2020 LSAT -> LSAT-Flex

Do you know if they are just doubling what you would get on the LR section? Or are they going to match percentile scores on this administration to whatever the experimental bands were? If they're not doubling the LR score, I recommend studying more for reading comp and logic games as those will be w...

Re: LSAC might restrict LSAT takes again

The big question remains whether or not this rule will be retroactive ...what? Unless you scored a 180, it's not retroactive. Pour one out for the powerscore/etc. tutrors (they'll be fine). https://blog.spiveyconsulting.com/new-lsat-retake-rules/ For the fallen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfVt...

Re: LSL c/o 2022 Applicants

Is there a consensus on what t14 schools care/don't care about why X school essays? What schools will you all write one for? I think UVA, Berkeley, Penn are the ones that really care, but I think it helps everywhere not T6. Duke isn't really known for YPing, Cornell kinda integrates their "why" int...

What PTs are too old to be taken?
Using old PTs is perfectly fine. I used 1-32 just to do drills. But I do recommend using newer ones for the final week or two.

Re: Guide: You're an undergrad student (or in high school!) and you want to go to law school

This guide is fantastic. Thank you for making it. I wanted to add one thought. Since high schoolers might also read this post, it could be worth a couple sentences on the OP to talk about UG "prestige". Seniors in high school that are thinking about law school might be prone to picking a highly rank...

Re: June 2018 Study Group

I have done all the PTs that I can have my hands on. I am wondering what I should do now. Redo the tests? Are you guys in similar situations? Do you mean all tests as in 1-80+ or just one or two 10 official books? If 1-80+, I say do them again. It worked for me, and many people from the old site. I...

Re: Should I retake?

What was your PT average going into both your 168 and164 scores? According to 7sage analytics,of the past 10 tests I've taken,my average is 169 with best being 175. I think you should retake it. Like the above poster said, you need this score as a splitter. If I were you I would sign up for the Jun...

Thank you to all the helpful posters. If you didn't get what you wanted this time, I'm sure you'll get it soon! (It took me 4 tries)

I hope to see some of you at an ASW next year :D
