Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

Received my acceptance package. No $ offer (we are reviewing and will let you know by March). I'm wondering what the man behind the curtain is doing this year. Hoping for something because I really like UCI, but some full rides in hand to schools in the mid-west are looking really attractive right n...

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

Thanks for the response. That's a bit weird. I have not seen language similar to that in my other scholarship offers. Haven't received my acceptance package yet, but I'm not expecting $ given the reported offers on LSN for this cycle. I'm wondering if its going to be a tough cycle for UCI, given the...

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

So Irvine is basically asking for a commitment (via scholarship) in March? How does that fly with the ABA NET April commitment guidance?

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

In at Irvine. Visited the school in the fall and absolutely loved it. I'm a non-traditional applicant (late 40's, second career) committed to public interest. Irvine is very high on my list; however, money will be a factor and, from current offers I've seen posted around the interwebs, a bit tight f...

Re: LSL Veterans Thread

Hey all. Hope everyone's cycle is going well. I wanted to post a note and a possible warning. At at least one school that I was accepted at, I was offered admission with no scholarship. I'm a splitter and have reasonable expectations in that concern; however that school gives scholarships to >90% o...

Re: LSL Veterans Thread

TIL: Hi all. As posted earlier in this thread, I've got about 13 months of Montgomery GI Bill eligibility remaining. While discussing the program in detail with the VA, they told me that once all of my Chapter 30 (Montgomery) eligibility was used, I would be eligible of 12 months of Post 9-11 GI Bil...

Re: Is this PS too military heavy?

Take this as a sincere attempt to help you improve: Cut waaaaaaaaay back on details of the training evolution and turn the microscope onto you personally. Having served 25 years as a Marine infantryman, I know you want to praise others and build them up, but in your law school personal statement, yo...

Re: LSL Veterans Thread

Hi all, question concerning the Yellow Ribbon Program. I have the Montgomery GI Bill (13 months eligibility remaining as I used most of my benefits before actually going to play in all the 9/11 sandbox fun). My interwebs research tells me that I am not eligible for any YR benefits (as those are spec...
