Re: LSL Veterans Thread

Hey I was doing some research on Penn and it looks like their YRP contribution is actually $23,082, which I think closes the gap on MT Cicero's spreadsheet. That officially makes every T14 school free, correct? Here's where I was looking btw: https://www.registrar.upenn.edu/veterans/index.html.

Re: W&M (134k) v. Boulder (126k) for JAG?

The military is a specific lifestyle. You give up a lot of freedom when you join. The military also generally does not give a fuck about your personal life, family, or happiness. Air Force officer vet here and I completely agree. The mission will always come first, and you need to be sure you are r...

Re: LSL Veterans Thread

Does anyone have experience with negotiating scholarship money into cost of living expenses? For those being covered fully bi GI Bill It seems common practice for the public schools, since the Post 9/11 already covers everything for them. There isn't much negotiation necessary; just ask. For privat...

Re: 3.65, 165, Strong Softs, T14?

I just got my score back on the November test and I bumped up to a 169! So yeah, I hope that I can have that world of a difference in my options now. According to MyLSN, I have a solid shot at the bottom half of T14 and an outside shot at the top half. Is that probably accurate? Your estimate is so...

Right that works for me. The whole point of Hail Mary's is that they actually work on rare occasions. Thanks!

3.65, 165, Strong Softs, T14?

I'll start by noting that I realize that MyLSN doesn't give me a good chance for even T20 with a 3.65 and a 165, and so the main thing I am wondering is if my soft factors are strong enough to make a big difference. I should also note that I am taking the LSAT again in November, so I'm mostly asking...

Personal Statement Evaluation

Would anyone be willing to take a look at my PS? I've shared it with some family and friends, but I'd really value an objective opinion. I'd prefer to PM it if that works for everyone. Thanks!

Sorry if this is a dumb question (never used TLS) - what are examples of below average, average, above average, and highly unique softs? What I've gathered is - Below average: nothing? Average: clubs, sports, internships Above average: advanced degree, TFA, AmeriCorps, work experience Highly unique...
