Re: Stranger's Guide to Reading Law School Employment Reports

Quote away! Or just take the words as your own. A quote might make the formatting overly wonky. Also, I would say that the site in general needs more guidance throughout. We launched the new version as a MVP in November 2016 (I think that's the right year) because it was good enough to release. To d...

Re: Stranger's Guide to Reading Law School Employment Reports

This is great! I hadn't seen this until now. Thanks for doing this. One note: "This final section looks like it would be useful if it were coded to the current data correctly, but right now, seems to be defaulting to "Unknown". It does, however, provide links to the category definitions from the NAL...

Re: Historical Law School Tuition Data

Thanks Paul. He'd refused to provide those data to LST in the past. But he's made it public, so that's all there is to it.

Re: Historical Law School Tuition Data

Sorry, I've been traveling like crazy. These were available online, but I can't find them on LSAC's website anymore. It would require going through a bunch of PDFs. I think it can be automated, at least by year (as the PDFs change over time), but I haven't messed around with any new tools on this fr...

Re: Historical Law School Tuition Data

I'm from LST. If you get reliable historical data in a spreadsheet, please send it over and I'll integrate it into some of our tools. It's available in the LSAC official guide archives going back quite a ways. We don't have the resources to input it and double check every number.

Re: LST Reports Questions Thread

We have considered collecting data directly from graduates several times, but each time, we declined to move forward. It comes down to consistency and resources. Basically we are better suited to convince law schools to publish their NALP reports than take on the (incredibly challenging) role of dat...

LST Reports Questions Thread

Trying something new that I didn't do on TLS in an organized fashion: a thread dedicated to answering questions about the LST Reports. What's LST and why did we create the LST Reports? LST is short for Law School Transparency , a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to make entry to the legal profess...
