Re: Harvard Students and Grads Taking Questions
Do PI-oriented students ever feel at a disadvantage being in Cambridge/Boston as opposed to bigger PI hubs like DC or NYC? I certainly haven't. Between the SPOs and the clinics, there is plenty of PI work to do here. The thing about PI is no matter where you are, there are going to be people that n...

Re: Sanity Check Before I Choose Columbia Over Harvard
There are also more journals I am interested in at Harvard--but of course, also way more competition to write on to journals I would imagine Not that I necessarily think this should be a huge factor in your decision making, but FYI the only journal that requires writing on at HLS is the Law Review....

Re: Harvard v Columbia -- Social Life + Other Students
. If you feel absolutely compelled to make multiple threads, it would make more sense just to do them by school, and address all your questions about each school in that thread, so it’s just two threads (most people will attend only one of those schools so will have very little basis for comparison...

Re: Harvard v Columbia -- Social Life + Other Students
I'm going to answer this as an HLS student who priorly lived in NYC, plans to return to NYC, and hates Boston: Does the quantity of money Harvard gives 1L sections compensate for being in Boston? lol I mean, no, not at all. The money is nice for having some fun section social events, but nothing is ...

Re: Harvard (sticker) vs. Columbia (sticker) for International Focus
Goldsmith teaches a 1L class on International Con. Law (which means you're guaranteed to have a shot at getting him within the first year) I feel like it's worth cautioning that while he has done this for the last few years, there's no guarantee that he will continue to do so in the future. THAT SA...

Re: Harvard Students and Grads Taking Questions
What is Harvard Law's culture? Cutthroat? Collegial? I was really drawn to UVA's friendly vibe & wonder about what it is like at Harvard (may not be able to visit). Also, what happens to those who get bad grades? Do they still do well after graduating? Concerned about it, too. Culture: Generally ag...

Re: How to learn how to do well on a law school exam
Or do you mean to literally include headings and subheadings in the answer itself? Not TSL, but I would assume they mean actually using headings and subheadings. (Which isn't to say that you shouldn't also outline the answer before writing -- I don't, but I know many do -- just that this particular...

Re: Harvard Students and Grads Taking Questions
is it hard to get into clinics? I understand the most people do not do off-campus internships during the semester, but do many PI-oriented people do clinics instead? While specific clinics can sometimes be hard to get into, there are a ton of good options, and it is definitely not hard to do one (o...
