How long to wait before reaching out again/moving on?

Am a rising 2L. Worked as a biglaw paralegal before law school and am interested in going back to my old firm, and practice group. Emailed the managing partner, who works in that practice group, yesterday (about 24 hours ago) about interviewing outside of OCI. I haven't received a response yet. Look...

Vandy 99k
Boston 99k
GW 105k
UW 27k

From West Coast, wanted to stay on this side.

Applied Late, Feb 1st. 3.5 GPA 169 LSAT (not interested in retaking)

Thoughts on Vandy vs reapplying? (or waiting out waitlists)
Are these numbers scholarships or COA?

Re: 3/4 Tuition at Georgetown vs 1/2 tuition at Vanderbilt

OP I think you're post is missing some pretty crucial information. Namely: (1) Your LSAT Score and GPA (2) Whether you're a K-JD I think the question you should be asking isn't "which of these 2 options should I take" but "are either of these options good for my goals." It seems like most people ITT...

Re: Splitter Decision 3.2/171

but in many cases the decision is always really money (debt) vs. (lost) opportunities. I feel like the subtlety and the importance of this very wise observation often isn't given enough emphasis. It's a lot rougher in these two choices, neither truly great for OP's goals scenarios. File the serial ...

Re: Splitter Decision 3.2/171

That much debt is really shitty dude. Even with biglaw, it's gonna hurt still. Can you wait and just reapply and see if next cycle is better? -signed, someone in biglaw with nearly 200k debt. There's no chance of that happening. Besides, it's not like I stand much of a chance of limiting my debt in...

Re: Splitter Decision 3.2/171

Retaking doesn’t usually apply to splitters like you, so I wouldn’t worry about hearing that much. And unfortunately your WUSTL offer probably won’t move the needle at UVA much (for better or worse, UVA just does less negotiating than some other schools). Based on your goals, and assuming your mark...

Splitter Decision 3.2/171

GPA 3.2 LSAT: 171 (3 takes) Goals: Big Law in DC/NY/Chicago FedGov I've worked in DC Biglaw as a Paralegal for ~2 years now and have really enjoyed myself. The associates have all been friendly and seem happy with their careers. DC would be my primary goal with the other markets as my backups. I've ...

Re: UVA c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)

In the event we get $0, you think UVA would be willing to negotiate? UVA is my top choice but I am not going at sticker, especially when Mich has already given some. On the Facebook post they said they don’t anticipate having funds to make additional awards, and if they do due to lower than expecte...

Still 12/13 lol. 12/13 until the day I die.
Same. I'm going to cry.
Same. Do they all get sent out at once? Should I abandon hope for the day?
Don't know. I've abandoned all hope regardless, just to be safe.

Long-time lurker here. I am an ED hold and still have 12/13/17 on my DLS date. Are there ED holds who now have a blank date? It would be great to understand what this means. Maybe one bucket is an acceptance and the other a wait-list? hehehe
I have 12/13/17 DLS still

Re: Retaking the LSAT: Post Success Stories ITT

I suppose my retake story won't be the neat and tidy vignette that will convince everyone waffling about how much it sucks to just retake, but here it goes. Sat for the LSAT for the first time in 2015. My prep consisted of a Powerscore class and ~30 PT. I didn't really take my review seriously at al...

Checking in. Applied 11/5 and have heard 0 since then. Of all the baffling responses this cycle, getting ghosted by WUSTL with a 171 is probably the biggest shocker. Assuming you're not a super splitter, a Why WashU might help with this Think so? GPA is a 3.2, not sure if that qualifies as a "super...

UR2 since 12/26 with the "hold tight" email.
Interesting. Same UR2 date; no email. What am I supposed to take from this?
Unclear. My numbers suggest I I have very little chance of getting in, so don't think the email is necessarily a good thing.
