Re: ASU c/o 2022 Applicants

Little late to the thread, but I've just been accepted with a scholarship as well! Congrats to the previous acceptances in here too. Congratulations! That's great news. I've decided to attend, actually. They upped me to a full ride, and I just can't turn down the $$$$. Hope to see some of you in th...

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

Double post, sorry: Just saw on reddit that someone received their scholarship info in the mail! Was wondering if anyone else got it too Edit: and I got mine in the mail today! Around half tuition. Hopefully I can bring that up a bit through negotiation Congrats! I had a similar result too. I don't...

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

Yeah, now the tables have turned, and us applicants want to be wine and dined! /s To answer the question, I think I saw in last year's thread that people hear about scholarship info in the mail. Given that I live in the East Coast, I will have to wait a little bit before any mail from California ge...

Love me WUSTL-senpai

Had my interview 09/17, radio silence since then

I don't plan on going there, but I'd still love to hear back.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2022 Applicants

Got an admit call today! Submitted Oct 31st, Interviewed Nov. 7th (interview was very casual and enjoyable). I didn't submit any of my apps until the last day of October and got the rest submitted in the following few days, but it feels good to have something on the books as I await other decisions...

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

Does anyone remember when Irvine sent out their first batch of decisions in the previous cycles? :3 I think it ranges from around this time to late November. I suspect that we will likely see movement in late November, though. Given last year's cycle, the committee will probably want to see more ap...

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

I definitely get the sense they're good at clinical education and pro bono/public service experiences. Part of the attraction to Irvine, for me, was the Center for Legal Philosophy, especially since I'm currently a graduate student in philosophy specializing in legal philosophy. It would be awesome...

Re: WUSTL c/o 2022 Applicants

I interviewed back in September and have heard nothing since the follow up email, so maybe? Same. Interviewed Sep 24, but I haven't heard anything since the follow-up the next day. WUSTL just seems determined to make a few of us go gray lol I doubt I'll end up there even if I get in, so I'm not ter...

Re: Davis c/o 2022 Applicants

Right? When I think back on the past two months since submitting, however, it seems like it flew by! Here's hoping that experience of the flow of time continues! This is so true. October seems to have gone by in a flash. I guess what kept me going is knowing that most schools will send out decision...

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

To clarify, I think UCI is a great school, and if it ended up being the best choice for me, I wouldn't mind going there. I had a pleasant experience speaking with adcomms; however, I found that my interests and goals really didn't line up with the school's strengths in the way I thought. I really a...

Re: Davis c/o 2022 Applicants

Good call! They have info on the admitted students website. Essentially they don't start compiling financial aid packages until January 15, so we won't start hearing about merit aid until January/February. Oh yeah! I should probably log onto that site to see what info they have, haha. This waiting ...

I lived in Santa Barbara and went down to LA often. The 405 that runs near UCLA is a major thoroughfare that also connects to LAX, so it's usually pretty busy.
Ouch... Time to start shopping around craigslist!

Re: Irvine c/o 2022 Applicants

Excellent timing! Best of luck to you! IIRC, I think you posted your UCI experience on reddit? Kind of a bummer that you had a not-so-great experience... I went to the forum in DC during the summer, and I spoke with Amanda Smith (briefly). She seemed pretty nice, and I was happy to learn more about...

Re: Davis c/o 2022 Applicants

Totally! I'm hoping so as well. UCI lost a bit of its luster for me after speaking to adcomms at a law school fair; however, it's still on my list for sure! Rather than speak ill about UCI on this thread (I'll ping you on the other one), I want to discuss when scholarship info will come out? Is it ...

Re: UCLA c/o 2022 Applicants

Thanks for the info! If I get lucky enough to be admitted, I'll definitely keep that in mind... How bad is the traffic near campus? I know that LA itself is pretty bad, but is it the kind of place where traffic grinds to a halt at all times? I'm wondering if I should sell my manual transmission car...
