Re: Waitlists and Loans
Hello gurus, I have a question about applying for loans while being on the waitlist. Let's say I were on a waitlist, but went ahead and accepted a seat at another school, got a financial aid offer, and took out loans to cover the difference. But then in July, "waitlist school" offers me a seat. I t...

Re: Berkeley Reconsideration Advice Needed!!
I would show Northwestern's offer and ask them to match. I wouldn't worry about what the 509 says especially because this year Dean Chem said that they are offering a million more in scholarship money than the year before . Dietcoke, can you please provide a source for this? I have scoured the inte...

Re: UC Irvine Law C/O 2021
Anyone have any luck having their scholarship increased?
Btw, despite UCI's awesome jump to the 21 slot, I can say first hand that UCLA firmly doesn't see them as a peer school; I got a 6 hour rejection turnaround from UCLA on a reconsideration request using Irvine's offer.

Recieved my scholarship info today. I also withdrew today... there was a missing diget from their offer and it wasn't a typo, lol. Cheers to those that got a tenable offer.

Re: Stanford C/O 2021 Applicants
Does anyone know when aid awards are usually sent out for admitted students? I received a generous Berkeley scholarship with an April 1 deadline, so my decision-window tightened up a bit. I'm surprised that you are debating this to be honest. Stanford. I don't think it's that simple. If Berkeley is...

Re: How much more would you pay for BL placement
Vanderbilt or WashU cannot be relied upon for BL, particularly if the economy changes  Geaux Cornell! unless NW matches +/- 10K. That's what I worry about, and what I'm incorporating into my calculus about where to go. It seems rather probable that there will be another economic down turn in...

If I can discern the type of food crumbs that were contained on my rejection letter and within that letter's envelope from an unnamed T14 law school, could such investigative work warrant a second consideration for admissions? (true story!)

Can anyone explain Vanderbilt's exceptionally long process? I get a 'thorough' review process but upwards of 4 to 8 months (on avg), and some cases even longer? What is the rationale behind this kind of timeline?
