Re: THE Sacred LSL Admissions Decision Ashram

Thank you, UVA2B. It was a last-minute panic post and I know you’re not on call 24/7, so I appreciate your weighing in even after the fact!

Re: THE Sacred LSL Admissions Decision Ashram

Thank you, Nony! I gave myself a couple more hours to think it over and then withdrew my application this evening. My first withdrawal -- feels nerve-wracking, but in some ways it's helpful to be forced to narrow my options by an early response deadline.

Re: THE Sacred LSL Admissions Decision Ashram

Hi! I've been pretty sure of my decision for over a month and now that today is the day to make a final decision, I'm drafting my withdrawal email and getting cold feet. I am deciding between NYU and Columbia, both with full-tuition scholarships. Columbia’s is the Greene Fellowship and NYU’s is eith...

Re: NYU (Vanderbilt) v. UVA (Dillard)

OP—how did you find NYU COA with the Vanderbilt? I received one as well but haven’t received much info on it. Congrats on having so many amazing offers! Re: NYU IILJ or Columbia for International Law?

Hi! Has NYU explained what they mean by showing a “committed interest”? IMO it’s not reasonable for them to expect you to make a written commitment without knowing the award amount. However, if they just want you to express that if offered the scholarship you would seriously consider it, then I thin...

Re: Harvard vs Stanford for Policy

How many years out of undergrad are you? Depending on where you are in your career, I would strongly recommend you either get more work experience in policy or do a masters in public policy. If you got into HLS and SLS, you presumably are good at standardized tests and should have a shot at HKS and ...

Re: NYU c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018 cycle)

Anyone heard about the Latinx Rights scholarship or the public policy scholarship? Also if you apply to a programmatic scholarship are you still considered for non-programmatic merit scholarships? also curious about this! (lurker chiming in here!) I asked the financial aid office about this a coupl...
