Re: Class of 2021: we're basically 1.5Ls now

Our grades come in I think like between the 5th to the 8th but all at once. Idk the date this year but it’s one of those days. Expecting it to be a shit show but we will see Our grades come in the 11th at a time of day when we're all going to be sitting in a mandatory intersession class. It's gonna...

Re: WUSTL c/o 2022 Applicants

WashU 1L here, happy to answer any questions in the thread or via PM Have you found that students have big law opportunities in Chicago? I know they have to compete against the Chicago schools but curious as to any insight you can provide. Thanks in advance. Can't really speak authoritatively about...

Re: LSL c/o 2022 Applicants

You nailed it lol I'm a rising WashU 1L, asked the same question about a year ago and got a similar response. They're not a "national school." They are a school that places fairly well in a few big legal markets outside their immediate area (Chi, NYC, DC). But that doesn't equal "national school."

Re: LSL c/o 2022 Applicants

Checking in! LSAC Forums are so late (at least in NYC)- hopefully most schools send out fee waiver email blasts beforehand. They will, and I wouldn't wait on applying to attend a forum first. Being the super neurotic applicant that I was at the beginning of the cycle, I flew into DC to go to the Ju...

Re: 151 LSAT, GPA 3.85.. where to?

Thank you everyone! Last question- if I want to apply to these better schools for the 2019 term, which LSAT should I take? Don't register for a test until you've mastered each question type and seen a marked improvement in your practice test scores, averaging 165+ or ideally even better. If you hit...

Re: WashU c/o 2021 (Admitted Students)

Saw that Michigan sent out an email saying there class is going to be much bigger than previous years. Based on the lack of waitlist movement by WashU seems like ours might be larger than normal too? Anyone hear any rumblings/have any thoughts about this?

Probably worth asking this over here if you haven't already: https://www.lawschool.life/forums/viewforum.php?f=31 Folks who also identify as diverse will be much better able to properly advise you than myself and some of the others in this thread who don't have firsthand experience with URM admissio...

2nd deposit paid! Anyone activate their email account or receive info about doing so yet? No info received but I didn't pay my second deposit until about 6 or so tonight, so... Re: WUSTL Students and Grads Taking Questions

My point was that the # of transfers varies year to year depending on how many people have a good reason to transfer. My year, I'd guess somewhere around 10. I can only think of 6 that I know of off the top of my head. The year above me had way, way more transfers. It varies widely from year to yea...

Now that I'm part of the real world again I am happy to answer any qs. To the extent that you can say on a public forum, do you know many people that are transferring or at least trying to? Have heard/read than one of the WUSTL downsides is a lot of folks try to transfer at the end of 1L, don't kno...

Anyone who fully committed already get any information yet? Your complete financial aid package/breakdown of tuition or your official WashU email or anything else?
Nope, deposited on April 8th and have received none of this.

Re: University of Virginia Waitlist

The way I see it (and somebody please correct me if this sounds inaccurate) UVA should be looking to take more people off the waitlist this year than they did last. The rationale being: if UVA gets a rep for only taking 1-2 people off the waitlist a year a ton of people would withdraw their UVA app...

0L here, so feel free to ignore me. First, without knowing your stats and when in this cycle you applied, it's tough to know whether or not you should sit out a cycle. Reverse Splitter for all schools. Applied very late to all of these. I like UCLA a lot and would rather attend there than sit out. ...

Also got the email, also bummed that they're not seeing much need for the waitlist. Trying to discern whether "not dip too deep" means "we will take zero ppl from the waitlist," "we might take a few" or something else.
