Has anyone seen the Roommate Matching list yet? It's getting close to that time.....
Do you have to sign up for that or do they just send it to you?
There is a signup link that should have been sent to you.

Re: Military Law (JAG)

This was very insightful! Thank you for giving us your first hand account. This also gave me some confidence in my choice of JAG as a possible starting career path. Sounds like you've not only been kept busy but busy with substantive work. Thanks again.

Re: Military Law (JAG)

Finally checking in. I assume we have a very similar audience as the other thread, but for anyone new, I'm an active duty AF JAG entering the sweet spot for leaving active duty. Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. How did you find AF JAG did in exposing you to and training ...

I would only caution that any expectation of graduating near the top of your class should not ever be factored into
any calculation of where to attend. Law School is a different animal entirely. Count on median and hope for better.

I'll be there Thursday for the April ASW. I bet those numbers will be on everybody's minds.
Vandy needs to start the ASW off right by beating Georgia in baseball! :)

Be curious to see G'Town, UT and UCLA's numbers. Hoping Vandy can make a jump back to 15 or 16.

Top choice is Vandy, looking like it will remain in position one for me! Very nice to see a trend developing.
Hope it's indicative of both Vandy's efforts and the market in general. Getting the rest of the schools data
should tell us more.

Re: Military Law (JAG)

I have heard some comment that you should steer clear of the Air Force JAG GLP program. Does anyone have any insights
on why this may not be a good route to go if you are certain you want to go down the JAG path?

Re: 100% Set On PI - ND ($$) v. Fordham ($$$)

Their LRAP goes all the way up to $70,000.00 which should cover most entry PI work. Sliding scale of course as with all but still pretty darn good. A lot of other nice features too. https://law.nd.edu/admissions/cost-of-attendance-and-financial-assistance/financial-support/loan-repayment-assistance-...

Just attended ND's ASW. Also considering PI. Their LRAP is very good! You need to look at that!

My offer was the same as GW (but GW has far higher COL) and higher than Emory offer.
I guess it depends on where you fall in their sweet spot range....

Re: Vanderbilt Law School c/o 2021 Applicants

This cycle was a real aberration from recent past cycles. It was way up and caught many schools off guard. I've been waiting UR1 at UVA since late Oct. not a peep. Heard from others at ND ASW that they lost an admissions person and were way behind. True of many schools I'm sure. Setting a time frame...

Re: People committed to PI: How are you weighing scholarship offers Vs LRAP strength?

I would think it would depend on the ability to earn at the higher end of the scale, which with your experience may
be a reality. But if you have a full ride at a T13 would HLS at sticker really offering you anything additional for PI? I guess it would depend
on your ultimate goals.

Def the negotiate with ND. I had a similar profile to yours with a bit higher GPA and got 20K less from UT but a very generous offer from ND. Just attended their ASD and was very impressed, both with the school and the people. Also we had a ton of Cali folks in attendance, along with NY which I mus...

Thank you! Trust me UVA and Duke were my #1 and #2. If only they gave a crap about my personal preference! LOL! So in this tough cycle it's Vandy or ND for me. Still Ghosted by UVA but expecting another WL.

Yeah now we're on the same page. Feeling ok about both choices but i have to decide right? LOL. Definitely open to private practice and have ties to a few possible firms/connections. South is fairly important long haul, but I realize I may have to pay my dues if a good job offer comes up say in Chic...
